This privacy policy explains how Totem Vault: Hide Photo & Note (the "App") collects, uses, and protects user data.

1. Information We Collect

Our App may collect the following information:

1.1 Camera and Biometric Data

The camera images and Face ID/fingerprint data used to unlock your vault are processed entirely on your device. No image, video, or biometric data is ever sent to or stored by our servers.

1.2 User-Provided Information

The App does not require you to create a server-side account. The PIN code, settings, and content you add to your vault are stored only on your own device, encrypted, and are not accessible to us.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the App's core functionality
• Personalize and improve the user experience
• Detect and fix technical issues
• Analyze and improve app performance
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

• With your explicit consent
• When required by law
• With our service providers (under data processing agreements)

4. Data Security

The App has no backend server — your content never leaves your device. Vault data is encrypted using your device's own secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). As a result, the security of your data depends on the security of your device and the unlock method you choose (PIN, Face ID/fingerprint, or physical object).

5. Data Retention

Your app content is stored only on your device, not on our servers. When you remove the App from your device (uninstall), this content is permanently deleted. We cannot recover this data on your behalf.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents or guardians who believe their child's information has been collected may contact us.

7. Your Rights

Since we do not hold any personal data on our servers, there is no remote data for us to grant access to, correct, or delete on your behalf. You already have full control over your data directly on your device: you can view, edit, or delete any vault item at any time from within the App, and uninstalling the App permanently erases everything.

8. Third-Party Services

Our App may use the following third-party services:

To process your purchase and prevent fraud, RevenueCat may collect device information and your IP address during the transaction. This data is handled solely by RevenueCat and is not stored on our own servers.
